Our Innovations Labelled cheese from our French dairy industry
At Sodiaal Fromages Solutions, food is above all a matter of passion, sharing, and know-how. This is why our cheeses have been developed according to a quality charter that contributes to preserving our dairy industry and our business.
Committed to offering manufacturers products born from the wealth of our regions, we rely on the expertise of our people and our French dairy industry daily.
Our labelled cheeses are characterised by a rich and intense taste as well as subtle aromas revealing the diversity of France’s regions, and, more particularly, they are controlled by a reference system called ‘La Route du Lait’ (“Milk Road”) which has ensured farm to fork traceability since 1998.
This quality approach, which also contributes to sustainable development, is part of the agri-food transition in which Sodiaal wishes to participate by offering labelled cooperative products from French industry.
LABELS SERVING HERITAGE AND TASTE
In a bid to enhance and preserve French know-how, promoting quality labels through our cheese is an opportunity to contribute to more sustainable food by supporting manufacturers in the creation of their recipes using quality ingredients.
As such, at Sodiaal Fromages Solutions, our extensive cheese range dedicated to the food industry offers four SIQO1 labels:
PDO CHEESE: OUR COMMITMENT TO PROTECT REGIONAL KNOW-HOW
Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) 2 is a European identification label guaranteeing that the product was made and produced in a specific geographical area: it thus enhances the know-how of local farmers and artisans as well as the organoleptic characteristics specific to a given region. It is accompanied by an application regulation for the label.
Our PDO cheeses include Cantal, Comté, Beaufort, Ossau-Iraty, Roquefort, Fourme d’Ambert, Bleu d’Auvergne, Munster, Brie de Meaux, and Saint Nectaire: the essentials with seductive aromatic notes!
PGI CHEESE: OUR PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL ECONOMY DYNAMICS.
Protected Geographical Indication (PGI)3 is a European label awarded under the condition that the product has undergone at least one stage of its process (production, development, or transformation) in a geographical location defined by the specifications.
At Sodiaal Fromages Solutions, our PGI4 cheeses include Tomme des Pyrénées PGI as well as two raw milk cheeses: Emmental PGI – Red Label and Gruyere PGI France. The various possible cuts of these cheeses allow them to be incorporated into a multitude of recipes to enhance all your preparations.
EMMENTAL PGI & LABEL ROUGE (RED LABEL): OUR INVOLVEMENT IN A SUPERIOR QUALITY APPROACH
The national Label Rouge identifies products of superior quality compared to similar products. More specifically, it is the production and manufacturing conditions that give the product its distinctive characteristics. As with the PGI label, Label Rouge must meet the requirements defined in strict specifications.
As such, our Emmental PGI & Label Rouge is made with raw milk from cows solely fed on hay and grass. The strict specifications for feeding the herd guarantee total preservation of the taste of this Emmental matured for at least 12 weeks. A quality guarantee that makes our French Emmental PGI unique!
ORGANIC EMMENTAL: OUR CONTRIBUTION TO TOMORROW’S FOOD
In accordance with applicable regulations, the BIO5 (organic) label certifies that no GMO or synthetic products have been used during the cheese production process and that improving animal welfare is integrated into the certification process.
Committed to this label for twenty years, our organic dairy farmers collectively decided in September 2021 to go beyond the organic specifications, setting up before 2023, a progress approach called ‘Le Bio Pré de Vous’ (“organic close to you”), acting on several levers, such as food autonomy, preservation of resources, and improving animal welfare.
Our extensive range of cheese includes our essential Organic French Emmental, sweet, balanced, naturally rich in calcium, and low in salt. Its many properties, cuts, and unique taste will allow you to vary your recipes.
WHY USE LABELLED CHEESE IN YOUR RECIPES?
According to an IRI study in 2021, being local is the leading sign of a product’s quality for 35% of buyers, with 40%6 wishing to buy more Made In France products and 39%, more local products.
Thus, in addition to being a guarantee of quality, our SIQO labelled cheeses meet the wishes of consumers for French and/or regional products.
This is a unique opportunity for you: manufacturers, to bring pleasure and taste to your recipes while claiming their quality through the use of French tasty regional products!
FINDING THE RIGHT CHEESE FOR YOUR NEEDS!
Beyond offering personalised solutions to the food industry, through this extensive range of labelled cheeses, we wish to preserve the traditions and regional specificities of Auvergne, Alsace, Franche-Comté, Savoie, Haute-Savoie and the many other French regions, the land and culinary heritage of which have made France’s international renown.
Continuing to innovate by integrating quality, transparency, naturalness, and the preservation of regions is a real challenge that Sodiaal Fromages Solutions has launched and which allows us today to offer you the widest range of cheese on the market!
